When we first moved to Dripping Springs I remember asking my aunt Bren (who owns Kiss the Cook on the Wimberley square) where to eat for date night. I remember her saying Hays City Store and Trattoria Lisina! We have been many times and always love going there for a fancy date night.
When the weather is nice it is just the most lovely spot to sit outside in the courtyard and look over the vineyard and Texas hills.
From the moment you step into Trattoria Lisina, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported straight to the Italian countryside. The warm and inviting Tuscan ambiance, complete with rustic decor, and fine dining by widows overlooking the vineyard, sets the stage for a memorable experience.
Trattoria Lisina prides itself on its commitment to authentic Italian cuisine. The menu is a delightful mix of traditional dishes with a modern twist. I always get their lasagna and it is just so rich!!
The gnocchi is also incredible!
If you’re a wine enthusiast, you’re in for a treat. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list featuring both Italian and local Texas wines. The knowledgeable staff can help you pair the perfect wine with your meal, elevating your dining experience to another level.
Don’t forget to save room for dessert! They serve a variety of desserts, but I love getting the gelato! I tried chocolate and tiramisu on our last visit.

It’s open 4-9 Tuesday – Friday and 11Am-9 PM Saturday and Sunday. It’s closed on Mondays.
