I had this idea a few weeks ago to start a weekend itinerary for Dripping Springs based on the Enneagram personality profiles!
Tourism is a huge part of the local economy (along with all of those guests for the hundreds of weddings we host here!) and knowing what’s available is so helpful!
I have people from all over contact me online to ask where to go when they visit the area and my first questions are about their personality and what sounds fun to them. Are they introverts or extroverts? Do they love adventure or relaxing? History or experiences?
I try to figure out what to recommend tailored to their personality preferences and then recently decided to make an entire blog thread with ideas so that I can send them out when people ask!
Here is my next one for the Enneagram 7!
Type 7, known as “The Enthusiast”. This itinerary is designed to resonate with Type 7’s love for adventure, FUN, variety, and new experiences.
A Weekend of Adventure and Excitement in Dripping Springs: An Itinerary for the Eternal Optimist
Day 1: Arrival & Non-Stop Fun
Stay at Wanderin Star Farms Cabins: Check into the cozy yet adventurous Wanderin Star Farms cabins. The rustic (and modern) charm and natural setting will instantly lift your spirits. Take a walk around the property, swing on the porch swings and feed the mini donkeys!
Dinner at Summer Revival Wine: Enjoy a sumptuous dinner at Summer Revival Wine. The fine wine and gourmet food will be a treat! The environment is fun, relaxed and artistic!
Dancing at Mercer Dance Hall: Put on your dancing shoes and hit the floor at Mercer Dancehall. The lively atmosphere will feed your love for excitement and social interaction. There are free dance lessons on Friday nights!
Video Games and Drinks at Grawlix: End the night with some video games and drinks at Grawlix Lounge on Mercer. The variety of old school video games and off-color named cocktails will end a fun evening out! You’ll feel like your in Austin when you go into this cocktail lounge!
Day 2: Adventure & Exploration
Run Through Summer Moon Coffee: Start your day with a quick run to Summer Moon Coffee and grab their signature moon milk latte. Don’t forget to buy a fun T-shirt while you’re there, their merch is creative and cute!
Zip Lining in Wimberley: Head to Wimberley for an adrenaline-pumping zip-lining experience. The thrill and the views will be unforgettable. Take a photo with their skeleton at the beginning of the ride!
Geocaching on Backroads: On your way back to Dripping Springs, indulge in some geocaching. The treasure hunt will add an element of surprise and excitement to your journey. You are sure to find some fun, local spots while geocaching. It’s how my kids and I found the original dripping spring!
Dripping Springs Chocolate: Stop by Dripping Springs Chocolate and pick up some novelty chocolate. Because who doesn’t love a sweet treat? I love their dark chocolate and their spicy hot chocolate mix!
Selfies and Shopping: Check out the different colorful murals in downtown Mercer and stop by Vintage Soul to buy a new dress. There are wings on the side of her shop, a “I love drippin’ so much” banner in front of Starrs on Mercer and a cool old Texas flag on the side of Juniper Tree Market.
Dinner at Shady Llama: Enjoy a laid-back dinner at Shady Llama. The casual setting will be a perfect backdrop for recounting the day’s adventures. Pet the llamas and watch the sunset!
Night Walk and Stargazing at Wanderin Star Farms: End your day with a peaceful night walk around Wanderin Star Farms and some stargazing on one of their viewing decks.
Day 3: Farewell & Sweet Memories
Breakfast at Abby Jane Bakeshop: Start your last day with a delicious breakfast at Abby Jane Bakeshop. Abby always has interesting and delicious things to eat on the weekends for breakfast and lunch! And it’s right down the road from Wanderin Star Farms!
Pool Pass at Lucky Arrow Retreat: Meet some new friends with a pool pass at Lucky Arrow Retreat. A refreshing dip and socializing will be a great way to wrap up your trip. I hear they are opening a new hang out there with a fancy restaurant coming soon, too!
