Wanderin Star Farms… I can’t say enough good things about this property, business and family who run it.
Purchased by my brother in law’s family many years ago, Wanderin Star Farms was our first tie to exploring Dripping Springs.
When the Barnards moved from Lubbock to their property off of Fitzhugh and Silver Creek five years ago it became our family’s favorite getaway from the tumbleweeds and dirt storms of West Texas. Our kids would run around catching crawdads, splash around in the wet weather creek and wear themselves out playing with the farm animals and on the awesome playground.
It is a nature lover’s retreat and only minutes away from Treaty Oak, Jester King Brewery, Route 12 Filling Station, Thyme and Dough, and Frios!
After visiting Wanderin Star Farm over the last 5 years and seeing our kids come alive in the magic of the Texas Hill Country we jumped at the opportunity to move here in 2020 and have loved it ever since!
Wanderin Star Farms was one of the first AirBNB properties established in Dripping Springs, Texas. There are three tiny cabins on the hill that can accomodate 4 guests each, a yurt with a platform deck for 2 guests and a barndominium that can house a larger group of 8 people available for short term rental.
The three tiny cabins are all built on a hill above a party pavilion, play ground and swing area. There are 10 acres for the guests to hike around and explore the beautiful property, pet the mini donkeys, look at the chickens, hunt for crawdads in the wet weather creek and sit around the swings at night and look at the stars.
All of my friends who stay here give it a 5 star review on how unique the property is and how close it was to so many cool restaurants, breweries and adventures in Dripping Springs.
