I had this idea a few weeks ago to start a weekend itinerary for Dripping Springs based on the Enneagram personality profiles.
Tourism is a huge part of the local economy (along with all of those guests for the hundreds of weddings we host here!) and knowing what’s available is so helpful!
I have people from all over contact me online to ask where to go when they visit the area and my first questions are about their personality and what sounds fun to them. Are they introverts or extroverts? Do they love adventure or relaxing? History or experiences?
I try to figure out what to recommend tailored to their personality preferences and then recently decided to make an entire blog thread with ideas so that I can send them out when people ask!
It sounded SO FUN (I’m an enneagram 7w8)!
So here is my first one… recommendations for local places to stay and things to do based on your enneagram profile!
Hire Starrs on the GO: Let the sisters at Starrs on the Go handle all of your reservations and itinerary for the weekend. Their attention to detail will ensure a flawless experience and leave the arranging of scheduling and itineraries to them!
Stay at Camp Lucy: Check into the elegant Camp Lucy, where every detail is meticulously crafted to perfection. The serene surroundings will resonate with your love for order and beauty. As a guest you can book a history tour, vineyard tour, archery, alpaca feeding, hiking, yoga, mixology classes and fishing!
Dinner at Trattoria Lisina: Enjoy an exquisite Italian meal at Trattoria Lisina. The authentic Italian flavors and high-quality ingredients will satisfy your desire for excellence… along with the Tuscan themed outdoor area and hill country views!
Day 2: Wellness & Exploration
Grab a Shake at Drip Nutrition: Start your day off with a healthy protein shake at The Drip Nutrition! Take a selfie in front of his “Came Thru Dripping” lock wall!
Lunch at Summer Revival: Enjoy a fresh and delicious salad at Summer Revival Wine Co and try some of their natural wines. The owner, Becky, will surely be by to refill your water and chat with you and suggest some of their best wines based on your preferences.
Facial at Face Alchemy: Indulge in a luxurious facial or botox at Face Alchemy.
Take a Tour at Texas Hill Country Olive Oil: Explore the art of olive oil making at Texas Hill Country Olive Oil. The guided tour will satisfy your curiosity and appreciation for craftsmanship. I recommend you end the tour with their gourmet grilled cheese and tomato soup! It is a local favorite!
Enjoy some alone time to reflect while walking around Camp Lucy and exploring their beautiful grounds at sunset.
Day 3: Adventure & Reflection
Run through the drive-thru for Coffee at Rootline: Support a fair trade coffee farm in Nicaragua by buying a drink from Rootline Coffee. It is the only coffee shop with a drive thru besides Starbucks!
Sunrise Hike up Old Baldy in Wimberley: Embrace early morning adventure with a quick 20 minute drive south to Old Baldy in Wimberley. It’s a 218 step hike up to the top of the highest point in the area for 360 degree views of the Texas Hill Country. Bring your journal (better yet, buy a new one from Juniper Market in Dripping!) and write out your thoughts and goals for the coming weeks.
Brunch at Leaning Pear: Before you leave for the weekend you can stop in at the Leaning Pear for a fabulous brunch and walk around the Wimberley square before you head home. Stop in and see my aunt at Kiss the Cook Wimberley while you’re there!
Well there you have it!
Enneagram 1s love excellence, structure, time for reflection, opportunities for growth and learning and and health and wellness! I hope that you share this with the enneagram 1s in your life who are thinking about coming to the Texas Hill Country!
