When I first heard of goat couture I laughed so much and immediately signed up to be a sponsor. I mean, you are reading the blog of a middle aged woman who got spray painted green and wore a Grinch costume at Christmas on Mercer... so the funnier (and weirder) the better! Brea asked me to do temporary tattoos for this event to add a fun thing for the kids and so I got busy designing some!
I’ll have a booth at their vendor fair and will be handing out free temporary tattoos, have a coloring page contest (winner gets a dozen goat sugar cookies!) and will be handing out my Dripping Springs relocation guide and answering questions about real estate!
The event is the brainchild of the Law Office of Milena Christopher and LOOMC Charities, Inc. But make no mistake, Goat Couture isn’t just about the hilarious spectacle; it’s about giving back while having an absolute blast! The proceeds will benefit the Hays and Blanco County FFA!
Community members can dress up their goats in a variety of creative outfits based on these fun, costume themes:

Goat Registration Tickets ($25) You have until September 1 to enter your goat!!
Don’t want to walk your goat across the carpet? They have FFA volunteers who can do that for you! Just dress up your goat in the whackiest outfit you can find!

For those looking to get more involved, Goat Couture offers a range of volunteer opportunities (sign up here). Whether you’re a student in need of volunteer hours or a community member eager to contribute, there’s a role for you. Volunteers help with everything from registration and setup to photography and merchandise sales, ensuring the event runs smoothly from start to finish.
