The Western Wonderland at Ranch Park in Dripping Springs, Texas, offers a unique and festive experience! I took my boys to it the day after it opened and we loved how they played Christmas movies on the big screen in the background. They had so much fun and really enjoyed skating and want to go again over Christmas break! We skated for our allotted hour, got hot chocolate (Food vendors and drinks are also available!) and then we loved seeing the trail of lights outside!
The event features a real ice skating rink! Not a plastic one like we’ve had here before. The park invites visitors to enjoy ice skating with adjustable skates for all ages, including sizes up to a men’s 15. The event is open on New Year’s Eve and Day, including a special “Polar Bear Skate.”
Tickets are available at the door, with group discounts for parties of 15 or more.
The venue includes public restrooms, and skate rentals are included in the admission price. There’s also an All Ability Skate for those with physical or developmental challenges, offering a quieter and less crowded environment.
Dogs are welcome on the trail, and the park remains open rain or shine, with a covered rink and a trail of lights for a festive atmosphere. For more detailed information, you can visit their website here.
Located at 1042 Event Center Drive, it’s open Sunday to Wednesday from 11:00am to 9:00pm, and Thursday to Saturday until 10:00pm, excluding Christmas Day.
Admission is $10 per skater before 4:00pm and $15 thereafter. Group discounts are available for parties of 15 or more.
