My trip to San Diego for a real estate conference

I just got back from the most exhausting and amazing coaching retreat! Monday morning I drove to the airport at the crack of dawn and by mid morning I was landing in San Diego to meet a Magnolia agent from the Round Rock office to have a day of adventure!

We drove straight from the airport to Coronado Beach, a childhood favorite, to have a fancy breakfast buffet at Hotel Del Coronado. Breakfast was a full buffet overlooking the ocean, waves crashing against the rocks and we were SO excited to be there! We walked around, got warned not to put our feet in the ocean because of pollution, picked up some clams and took some photos. Nature fills my bucket!

I kept seeing all of these awesome realtors posting fun networking events the day before the retreat and decided I’d throw one together myself! I booked a private catamaran and found 7 other realtors, who I hadn’t ever met, to join me on a three hour sail around Point Loma.

What a wonderful way to meet and get to know other realtors. No quick 15 minute coffees, but 3 hours where your only option is to get to know one another. I do feel like true friendships started there and some women told me it was their favorite part of the event… and of course I got to go sailing- my favorite!

That evening I met up with Lauren Schauer, Jessica Murdock, and Heather Morstatter for dinner at Seneca, a rooftop Italian restaurant glowing at twilight. I had the most pillowy gnocchi and most amazing cheesy focaccia bread I have ever tasted.

The next two days were power packed. Long days of learning from the top real estate coach in the nation, soaking up strategy, inspiration and systems to grow our impact. The kind of learning that stretches you and leaves you both tired and energized.

On my final morning, I woke up at 4:45 AM (thank you 2 hour time change!). I drove back to Coronado Beach one last time with my camera and just spent an hour watching the sun slowly stretch across the waves. There were so many birds! I loved the photos I captured.

I am heading into 2026 more equipped, more inspired, and more committed than ever to bringing value to my clients and to the town of Dripping Springs, Texas!

San Diego gave me space to think, learn, and reconnect with why I do this work. Now it is time to bring that energy home.
