Safety First: The SRO Initiative

When it comes to safety, Dripping Springs High School leaves no stone unturned. Through a contract with the Hays County Sheriff’s Department, School Resource Officers (SROs) are always present on campus. This ensures a safe and secure environment where students can focus on what’s important—learning, growing and making life long memories!

The Tiger Shack: Where Business Meets Brew

Foodie Alert: Flores Taco Shop & Cafeteria Choices

Advanced Placement and Dual Credit: A Head Start on College

If you’re looking to challenge yourself academically, Dripping Springs High School has got you covered with a range of Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual Credit courses.

Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment

The school offers access to both dual credit and dual enrollment right on campus. Dual credit classes are taught by Austin Community College (ACC) instructors, starting as early as ninth grade. This means you can earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. How cool is that?

But wait, there’s more! Dual enrollment classes are a collaborative effort between DSISD teachers and professors from the University of Texas. Again, you can earn both high school and college credit. Click HERE for more info!

Financials and Support

The best part? Currently, there’s no cost for enrolling in these programs if they’re completed on the DSHS campus. However, students taking ACC classes will need to purchase textbooks. If you decide to enroll in classes at ACC, the cost is $150 per course, plus textbooks. And don’t worry about the nitty-gritty; high school counselors, along with ACC counselors, are there to guide you through the registration process, TSI testing, and course enrollment.
