Living in Dripping Springs is one of the best locations in all of Texas. You are 1 hour to Fredericksburg, 1 hour to San Antonio and New Braunfels, 1 hour to Bastrop, 30 minutes to Austin and only 30 minutes to Johnson City!
Clearly the boys are ecstatic with me still making them take mural photos. Haha!
I have taken my boys all over the hill country since moving here 5 years ago. I pack up my camera and we do all kinds of tourist things to explore the area… I call it market research…
Today we went to Johnson City and had planned to go to the Safari Zoo, but the kids they all wanted to go to the Science Mill, which I hadn’t ever been to before. WOW! What an amazing place it was. I had heard that it was a really neat place, but the aesthetics, design and outdoor spaces really impressed me. I will now recommend it to everyone with kids of all ages!
I had thought that my boys would have outgrown this kind of place by now and they all spent so much time interacting with the different exhibits. What a beautiful place to let kids run around and explore science in the AC!
We ate lunch at Proof and Cooper and the boys loved the hot wings and then swung through and got Blue Bell ice cream at the ice cream shop across the yard.
I made them quickly browse through art galleries and boutiques with me and we finished it off with a scavenger hunt through the Texas Motorcycle museum.
Johnson City is such a quaint town, and people have told me it is like how Dripping Springs was 15 years ago.
