It’s so nice to get away for a while!!
I have to admit that most of the time I try to stay home because I get the most amount of real estate calls and activity on the weekends with people wanting me to show them homes. It is hard to build a business that is built on acting immediately based on random calls and requests.
My kids say that I’m on my phone all the time and usually laugh when I answer every call within seconds with “Hello, this is Lauren!”. Oh well. I’m teaching them what a freelance sales job looks like! They may want to get a steady 9-5 when they grow up, ha!
But there are some random times during the year when I can get away for a whirlwind trip to see something beautiful and unplug for a bit and oh my does it fill my soul!
I had the opportunity to go with my mom and sister to visit my brother who lives in Magnolia right north of Seattle and boy oh boy was it beautiful! The neighborhood was filled with 1940 homes with all sorts of incredible flowers, vines and foliage in front of them.
The hills were layered with beauty and at the pinnacle they overlooked the Puget Sound where you could see sailboats and snow capped mountains. No wonder the homes were in the multi-millions! We couldn’t get enough of being outside in the gorgeous, July weather.
We packed in so many amazing memories into our 4 days together and got to hike a waterfall (I jumped in the icy water!), watch fish fly at Pikes Market, kayak on Lake Union and hike down to the beaches at Golden Gardens.
I did work with THREE new buyers while I was there… so I count it a win to always be able to give excellent customer service no matter where I am in America.
Let’s see where I get to go next! I’m thinking swimming with the sharks in Maui! Maybe I’ll get an underwater housing for my fancy camera and create some epic photographs!
