Little Rascals Racers at Speeding Springs in Dripping Springs, Texas
A few months ago I saw Speeding Springs advertising a drag racing track for kids. What are kids racing each other with you might ask? A souped up power wheel!! I had never heard of such a thing before, but they were asking for sponsorship donations and so I jumped on the opportunity and got my name on their banner as they began pouring their asphalt for the drag strip.
I still had no idea what this power wheel racing was though until Megan Jones invited my boys to come and try it out and race go-karts on their new dirt track. My youngest couldn’t wait to get out there and his whole face was covered in dirt after drifting on the corners of the track and flying through the finish line. You can rent their go kart track for $70/hour and bring your own dirt bikes, helmets and go-karts or rent one of their Coleman go-karts for $35/hour.
We attended our first Little Rascal’s Racing community night on a Thursday when they promoted their free kid drag racing event on facebook. There were probably 15 kids who showed up with power wheels, small go karts and even dirt bikes. It was so fun to see each kid gear up for real life Mario kart racing with the Christmas Tree lighting system and everything!
