The 2023 festival kicks off on Friday, April 28th at 4pm and runs until Midnight, with an evening parade that is sure to be a hit with kids of all ages. At the end of the Friday night, a lively street dance on Historic Mercer Street is one of the highlights of the Founder’s Day Festival, providing a fun-filled evening of music and dancing for people of all ages.
Last year, my office- Magnolia Realty had a booth at Founder’s Day and a float in the parade! It was so fun to pass out candy to the thousands of kids pushing to the front of the barricade on Mercer St. to fill their bags with sweets! My kids rode on the Magnolia Realty float and felt like celebrities. I can’t wait to do it again this year.

Last year we had our doors opened at the Magnolia Realty office behind Mazama coffee and I hope you’ll stop by and see us again! We gave out free Magnolia Journals, had giveaways, refreshments and fun conversation about Dripping Springs and all things real estate. Come and see me!
On Saturday, the festival continues from 10am until Midnight, with a day full of free music and entertainment, the Mighty Thomas Carnival, delicious food, BBQ and beer, and much more. And on Sunday you can attend the city wide church service at 10 AM on Mercer Street, then the festival winds down from 11am to 5pm, with a carnival that ends at 7pm.
