Tell us more about Fire & Flow Pilates…
Fire & Flow is what happens when you take classical Pilates principles, add real strength training, turn the music up a little, and build the kind of space where people actually know your name.
We’re a locally owned Pilates studio born right here in Dripping Springs, and our whole philosophy is built around two things: strength and longevity. We want you strong enough for whatever life asks of you, but we also want you moving beautifully 10, 20, 30 years from now.
And while we take movement seriously, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. You can work hard, laugh, make friends, occasionally curse at your instructor, and still get an incredible workout.
How did it get started?
Fire & Flow really started because I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted, so eventually I decided to build it.
I loved Pilates and everything it could do for the body, but I also knew how important strength training was, especially for women as we age. I kept imagining a studio where those worlds weren’t treated as opposites. Where you could have the control, precision and longevity benefits of Pilates, but also pick up some actual weight and get STRONG.
What began as a little dream grew into our first studio at Nutty Brown, and then, somehow, that little dream developed a caffeine problem and became a second location.
The heart of it hasn’t changed, though. Fire & Flow was built to create the kind of movement community I wanted to belong to myself.

What all services do you offer?
Our bread and butter is reformer Pilates, with classes ranging from foundational movement to more athletic, strength-focused sessions.
We offer group reformer classes, springboard work, chair work, mat-based movement, private and semi-private sessions, and strength-integrated Pilates programming.
At our Trailhead location, we’ve also expanded the vision beyond just the workout itself. We have The Shop at Fire & Flow, our little boutique filled with things we genuinely love, so the space feels more like a tiny wellness world than somewhere you just pop in, exercise, and leave.
What is the difference between a FIRE session and a FLOW session?
This is probably the easiest way to understand who we are.
FLOW is our foundation. It’s intentional, controlled Pilates that focuses on alignment, mobility, stability, core strength and learning how your body actually moves. It’s also where we recommend beginners start, although experienced clients absolutely benefit from FLOW too. Slower does not mean easier. Pilates will humble you very politely.
FIRE is where Pilates meets strength training. We incorporate heavier weights and more athletic movement while still maintaining the control and principles of Pilates. It’s designed for people who want to build real, functional strength without giving up mobility, stability or longevity.
I don’t believe women should have to choose between Pilates and lifting weights.
So we don’t.

What sparked the expansion into the West Dripping Springs location?
Honestly? Our community did.
Nutty Brown grew, our classes grew, our Fireflies grew, and eventually it became very obvious that Fire & Flow needed more room to become what I could already see it becoming.
West Dripping Springs felt like the natural next chapter. There is so much growth happening out here, but it still has that beautiful Hill Country sense of community that made me fall in love with Dripping Springs in the first place.
Trailhead gave us the opportunity to build something bigger without losing the intimacy that made the original studio special.
What makes your Pilates studio unique?
We actually care.
That sounds ridiculously simple, but I think it’s becoming increasingly rare.
I never wanted to build a fitness factory where someone scans in, becomes reformer number seven for 50 minutes, and disappears.
We know our people. We notice when they’re missing. We celebrate when they get stronger. We know when they’re having a hard season. We want people to walk through our doors and feel like they belong there.
And from a training perspective, our integration of real strength training into our FIRE classes is a huge part of what separates us.
Pilates is phenomenal, but particularly for women, I believe we need resistance and progressively challenging strength work too. Muscle is part of the longevity conversation. Bone health is part of the longevity conversation. Being able to pick something heavy up off the floor when you’re 75 is part of the longevity conversation.
We’re not interested in helping people simply become smaller.
We want to help them become stronger.

What do you love most about owning a small business in Dripping Springs?
The community. Without question.
There is something incredibly special about building a business in a place where people genuinely want to see local businesses succeed.
Our clients have become friends. They recommend us to their neighbors, bring their daughters, moms and girlfriends, celebrate our milestones with us, and have carried Fire & Flow through every stage of its growth.
When you own a small business, people sometimes think they’re simply purchasing a service from you.
They’re not.
Every class booked, every membership, every person who tells a friend about us is helping a local family build something. I never lose sight of that.
Dripping Springs has given Fire & Flow roots, not just an address.
Where are some of your favorite healthy spots to grab lunch or dinner in the area?
I LOVE Summer Revival and Nectarine.
They’re exactly the kinds of places I love supporting because they’re local, thoughtful and feel distinctly like our little corner of the Hill Country. Give me beautiful food, good ingredients and somewhere that doesn’t feel like it was copied and pasted from every suburb in America, and I’m happy.

How can we learn more about your business?
Come see us!
Fire & Flow Pilates has locations at Nutty Brown and Trailhead in West Dripping Springs, and you can learn more about our classes, memberships, instructors and schedule through Fire & Flow Pilates online or through the Fire & Flow app.
But truly, the best way to understand us is to walk through the doors and take a class.
Come FLOW with us.
Come play with FIRE.
And come meet the little community of Fireflies that somehow turned one woman’s idea for a Pilates studio into something much bigger than a workout.
