Looking for a place where you can find fresh, locally sourced produce, handmade goods, and live music? Look no further than the Dripping Springs Farmers Market!
We are at Founder’s Park 4 nights a week this spring for the boys’ DSYSA flag football practices and we always love to stop by the Farmer’s Market on Wednesday nights to try samples and buy goodies! It is a fun place to meet people, walk your dog and be around local entrepreneurs!
Held every Wednesday from 3-6 PM at Founder’s Park and Saturday’s from 10 AM-1 PM at Veteran’s Memorial Circle on HWY 290 and RR12, the market is a community gathering place where local food producers, artisans, and community organizations come together to educate and sell directly to consumers.
The City of Dripping Springs recognizes the importance of local agriculture to the region’s economy, and the Dripping Springs Farmers Market is a key part of that commitment. With 48 vendors offering handmade goods, fresh vegetables, meat, and more, the market is the perfect place to find high-quality, locally sourced products.
From heirloom tomatoes to organic micro greens (Silas and I tried a sunflower sprout today!) to artisanal bread and jams, you’ll find everything you need to make a delicious and healthy meal.
My very first job (when I was only 14!) was picking tomatoes at an organic farm in West Texas and I always love to see the local farmer’s produce and know just how hard it really is to grow such high quality food!
But the market is more than just a place to shop. It’s also a community gathering place where you can connect with local farmers and producers, learn about sustainable farming practices, and support the local economy. You can see vendors like Reverse Pioneers, SoCo Ginger Beer, Space Cow Bakery, Hi-Fi Mycology, 7R Texas Meats, Native Root Salsa, Fran’s Pies and more!
And what better way to enjoy the market than with live music from various local singers and songwriters?
By featuring local musicians, the Dripping Springs Farmers Market provides a platform for community members to showcase their talents and share their music with others. Whether you’re a fan of folk, country, or oldies there’s something for everyone at the market.
So while you shop for fresh produce and handmade goods, you can also enjoy the sounds of local talent and make the most out of your visit to the market.
So, if you’re looking for a place where you can find fresh, locally sourced produce, handmade goods, and live music, be sure to check out the Dripping Springs Farmers Market!
Kids can play at the park nextdoor while you shop and try delicious samples and shop for local goods.
With its commitment to supporting local agriculture, providing a community gathering place, and showcasing local talent, it’s much more than just a market – it’s a vital part of the Dripping Springs community.
I love showing you all of the fun ways to meet Dripping Springs people and get involved in the community and shopping local is one fantastic way to do so!
