Last week we decided to try out the new outdoor recreational center, DREAMLAND, in Dripping Springs. It had been too long since we had scheduled family date night and we just surprised our kids with a random outing with soda, pizza, mini golf and family time. Dreamland is known for it’s amazing murals that are painted on the water tanks, interesting sculptures and outdoor fun! There are Pickleball courts, food trucks, a music venue, lawn games, a bar with over 90 beers on tap (50 just from the local breweries) and two mini golf courses: a family friendly course and a challenge course.
We stuck with the family friendly one since Josh is the only person who is any good at golf and the kids had a blast! The entire course is in the shade of a grove of gorgeous Oak trees and is so well done. To play the family friendly mini golf course is $8 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. No reservations needed. My boys were super competitive and a few of them, *ahem, Sam*, had to have several cooling off periods because he wasn’t as good as the other boys, but some time with dad and a Red Fanta/DrPepper/Coke soda turned his little frown upside down. Dreamland has two awesome food trucks (a pizza and taco truck) and we highly recommend the pizza there! It is really yummy and only $6 for a personal pan sized pizza.
Their outdoor, covered dining area has a playground and lots of picnic tables to enjoy the outdoors while watching several courts full of guests playing Pickleball right next to them. Dreamland is the owner of the two LARGEST Texas and American flags that I’ve ever seen! I am sure everyone who has driven through Dripping has seen them from 290!
If you are looking for something new to do in Dripping Springs then head on over to Dreamland for a fun round of mini golf!
