If you’ve ever driven through Fredericksburg, Texas in the Spring or Fall then you’ve probably seen Wildseed Farms on the north side of 290. It’s America’s largest working wildflower farm with over 200 acres of growing area in Fredericksburg and 1000 acres across Texas!
Wildseed is open 7 days a week, year round and is just such a peaceful place to walk around!
The walking trails close 30 minutes before closing and are so beautiful to see in person! I stopped in on the first cool, cloudy day and it was such a dream.
My Grandma always talked about wanting to stop in and just sit and look at the flowers. I was in Fredericksburg a week ago and had a few minutes to just stop in and explore with my camera.
There is a huge garden/nursery where you can purchase plants, pots, gardening tools and seeds. Wind chimes, windmills and beautiful art are everywhere!
You can also enjoy wine tasting, snacks and cold beer. Their gift shop sells many different jellies and jams if you are looking for the perfect Texas Hill Country gift for someone!
Being in nature and seeing such beauty really does add so much to my life. I know it’s hard to say that stopping in at a business like this is a “nature adventure”, but there are so many places to just sit and soak in beauty that I thought it was a noteworthy spot to share with you all.
