I was destined to be in the people and home business.
As a kid I would ask all of my friend’s moms for their “house tour” and I would ooh and awe over all of the beauty and interesting features in their homes.
Seeing the possibilities in homes and executing the process of moving is in my DNA.
The excitement of new people, possibilities, and homes led my family to 7 moves before I graduated high school and 11 more moves after I married my husband in 2005.
I bought my first house when I was 19 years old.
I couldn’t believe how easy it was!
We had a wonderful Realtor who guided us through the process and before we had even closed on our new construction home I had referred and helped sell a house down my street!
They said that had never even been done before!
The builder planted a large tree in my new yard to prove it.
Every few years we would get the itch to cash in on our equity and try something new. Beginning in Lubbock, Texas we moved to Oklahoma, Kansas City, Missouri, Lubbock, Texas and are now located in Dripping Springs.
We’ve purchased new construction, flips, junkers, more new construction, raw land, and rental properties. We made a lot of smart investments and a few bad ones throughout the years.
The bad ones were when we tried doing it ourselves without the local expertise of a Realtor. I used to think, “How hard could it be?” Now I know how much goes into real estate strategy… the hard way… after loosing thousands and thousands of dollars.
I have learned so much about what it is like to dream and anxiously await moving into a new property and also the heartbreak and anxiety of losing the contract after a bad inspection.
