I am so excited to introduce you to the first agent on my new team, Jessica Kosler! Jessica has been a crucial part of my real estate business in the last 4 years and has operated as my transaction coordinator with an eye for detail and excellent communication. Last summer she decided to move ahead with getting her real estate license and I knew she would be a perfect fit to join my new team!
Meet Jessica Kosler!
Hey Jessica! Tell us about your family and your roots in the Austin area.

I’m married to my husband, Steven, who I met while we were both at the University of Texas at Austin. After college, we lived in a condo downtown and later moved to northwest Austin. We initially purchased a beautifully updated home, and then eventually bought a fixer upper that we gutted to the bones. It was so fun for me, but it stressed my husband out so much that he actually got shingles! During Covid, we had nothing to do but drive around and look at model homes.
This led our hearts to the hill country and we decided to take a leap of faith and relocate to the Dripping Springs/Driftwood area. We have three amazing kids, so life is full and lively in the best way. Our home is definitely a revolving door of sports schedules, school events, dinner conversations and happy hours on our patio with some of our dearest friends.
Watching the city grow over the years and then seeing the Hill Country communities expand has given me a unique perspective on how quickly this region evolves and why choosing the right location really matters. I understand how much thought goes into choosing the right neighborhood, schools, and daily rhythm for your family because we’ve walked through those decisions ourselves – more than once!
What do you love about living in the Hill Country?
I love the balance the Hill Country offers. You can have space, quiet, and beautiful views while still being within reach of Austin. There’s a strong sense of community here, especially for families. Friday night lights, local coffee shops, small business owners and community events. At the same time, the lifestyle is what makes it special for us.
We love spending weekends exploring local breweries and wineries, driving scenic backroads, and just being outside. The open space and natural beauty create a rhythm that feels a little slower and more intentional which is exactly why we chose to plant roots here.

What does a perfect Saturday look like for you?
A perfect Saturday is slow and outside. Morning coffee on the back patio, kids running around, good music playing in the background. Maybe we’ll spend the afternoon doing yardwork, playing soccer, or exploring a local winery and grabbing dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. Nothing extravagant, just time together and being present.
When we’re home, I love working on our space. I enjoy making rooms feel warm, functional, and organized. And I’m a sucker for good carpentry. Beautiful built-ins, thoughtful trim work, quality craftsmanship; those details matter to me. It probably makes sense that I ended up in real estate. I care a lot about how a home feels and how it functions for everyday life.

What are you passionate about outside of real estate?
I’m passionate about investing in people for the long term.
My husband and I are involved in our church community, where we help lead a missional community group. It’s a smaller group that shares life together – supporting one another through everyday rhythms, celebrations, and challenges. Community is an important part of how we live. We also mentor engaged and newly married couples, helping them build strong foundations early on. Marriage is hard, and it’s
not always talked about honestly. We care about creating space for real conversations and growth.
More recently, I’ve become involved in prison ministry, which has been incredibly perspective-shaping. It’s taught me the importance of dignity, consistency, and listening well.

How did you get into real estate?
My background is actually in education. I earned my degree in education and taught 5th grade for five years before stepping away to focus on raising our kids. Teaching shaped so much of how I work; organization, communication, and patience! When I was ready to step back into work, I began helping a friend with real estate transaction coordination. What started as support quickly grew into a seven-year role as a transaction coordinator, where I worked behind the scenes managing contracts, timelines, and details for multiple agents. That season gave me a deep understanding of the mechanics of real estate; not just the exciting parts, but the structure and precision required to get a deal successfully to the closing table.
Lauren was one of the agents I worked with during that time, and I saw firsthand the level of integrity and professionalism she brings to her clients. When she approached me about forming a team and stepping into a more client-facing role, I was genuinely excited! It felt like a natural progression; taking everything I’d learned operationally and pairing it with my love for working directly with people. I’ve loved the shift into sales because it allows me to combine both sides of my experience: strong backend knowledge and thoughtful, relational client guidance.

What should someone know if Lauren connects them with you?
That the connection is intentional. We are a team, and we are very team-minded in how we serve. We’ve worked closely together for the past four years, and this partnership is simply a natural evolution of that relationship. I also bring seven years of behind-the-scenes industry experience prior to stepping fully into sales, so when clients work with me, they’re getting both operational depth and client-facing guidance. Lauren and I share the same trusted vendors, lenders, and professional resources, and we stay closely aligned throughout every transaction
We truly operate as an extension of each other. If she introduces us, it’s because she knows I’m the right fit for your area or situation and that I will treat you with the same care, professionalism, and integrity she’s known for.
At the end of the day, whether it’s my family, ministry, or real estate, I’m motivated by helping people feel supported, understood, and confident in the decisions they’re making.
I am so excited to have Jessica join me in real estate and know that you will love her too! Reach out to her at jessicakosler@magnoliarealty.com or 940-366-4774
