Life update

I haven’t ever written about my family life on my real estate blog and decided that now was a good time to do it! I wanted to introduce you to my family.

When you choose a Realtor to work with, especially if you are trying to find one over the internet, you want to make sure that you have many connection points on a human level, because buying and selling a home has so many twists and turns that you need someone to help with- it’s not just numbers and contracts.

This is what my blog is all about… introducing you to the lifestyle in Dripping Springs, the wonderful people that live here and create connections between us!

Lauren Clark, Magnolia Realty Austin Hill Country Dripping Springs, Texas Realtor

My husband and I are celebrating our 17 year wedding anniversary this week.

I’m also turning 37.

Bet you just did the math.

We got married the day before I turned 20 after only 7 months of dating. Yes. We were CRAZY and all odds were stacked against us.

I could write books on what I’ve learned about growing up with someone when you get married so young. I am proud of who we are and what we have come through in these 17 years.

Family means a lot to me, and so does the bedrock of my Christian faith.

We have three incredible sons- Solomon, Silas and Sam. They are the kind of boys who fight daily, take big leaps of courage, take many risks with adventure and are growing into amazing, authentic people.

I have been a professional photographer since I was 17.

A few months before graduating high school I had already decided what I wanted to do for a living and went to the Lubbock county courthouse and started my business- Lauren Lee Photography. I began photographing my friend’s senior photos and jumped right into wedding photography that summer. I traveled America and Mexico shooting weddings and became a workshop speaker and taught workshops to aspiring photographers all across the nation until I had my boys.

As time went on I knew that I wanted to shift into another career that wouldn’t require me to be gone all day on weekends for weddings. I wanted to be there for my kids as they grew up.

2020 hit and the government told me that my business wasn’t essential and I wasn’t allowed to work. My biggest revenue month in a decade was canceled and I was left sitting at home to figure it out and now homeschool my kids. I saw my real estate friends and real estate photographers continue to provide for their families while I was told to sit at home and wait for government rescue. This was the catalyst into making the jump into real estate. I had been buying and selling homes since I was 20 and always had becoming a Realtor as a career in my back pocket.

I knew that doing wedding and portrait photography for 18 years had seasoned me with the people skills to work in high stress environments, the desire to be the best at what I put my mind to and the network of people to make it happen.

God has blessed my life immensely since becoming a Realtor and working with Magnolia Realty is a dream come true. I get to show my boys how to work hard for your dreams, how to create something unique that is fulfilling and adapt to all of the curve balls that life throws at you.

It has given me the opportunity to blend blogging, photography, and my love for adventure and people into a deeper career of helping families find their dream homes and root down into an area so that they can give their families stability, community and build a legacy of memories.

It is the fulfillment of all of my missions in life!
